NOAA Miami Regional Library at AOML

General Library Information


Introduction:

The NOAA Miami Regional Library is a branch of the Library and Information Services Division NOAA Central Library in Silver Spring, Maryland. There are two libraries that comprise the Miami branch: one located at the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) and the other located at the National Hurricane Center (NHC). The following information concerns the AOML location.

Library Hours:

The library doors are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to the NOAA staff. The library is open to the public for reference only Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Library staff are available Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The Collection:

The Miami Branch Library collection supports the coastal and open oceans programs, tropical and hurricane meteorology, air-sea interaction, ocean physics, chemistry and acoustics, atmospheric chemistry, marine geology, and other related disciplines in the atmospheric and oceanographic sciences.
