Overview
Research on human subjects raises many controversial ethical and legal questions and poses difficult challenges for investigators, IRB members, and institutions. This conference will address emerging issues in research with human subjects, such as the definition of research, best practices for obtaining informed consent, payment to research subjects, pesticide research on human subjects, and research on human biological materials. Several nationally known speakers will give lectures at this conference, which will include cases studies and a panel discussion.
