License fees vary. The Colorado Seed Act (35-27-101 et seq., C.R.S.) requires truth in labeling of seed offered for sale in Colorado. Retail seed dealers, seed labelers, and custom seed conditioners must register. Fees vary. Seed that is not intended for propagation, seed held for wholesale transactions, and seed that is grown and sold on the seller's premises may be exempt under the law. Producers may request inspection for shipments going out of state.

Colorado Department of Revenue Motor Carrier Services 1881 Pierce St. #118 Lakewood , CO   80214 (303)205-5691 Fax: (303)205-5764	CUSTOM HARVESTERS: Colorado has a Custom Harvester Permit that can be purchased for vehicles working the harvest season. This permit gives owners of vehicles working the harvest a relatively easy way to comply with Colorado’s registration requirements. Link:  http://www.revenue.state.co.us/MCS_dir/Harvest%20Permit%20Informa tion%20&%20Application.htm Farm plated vehicles, or vehicles registered commercially with official base state documentation indicating a farm exemption, are eligible for the 60-day permit. Harvesters are eligible for two permits each calendar year, and they can be purchased at all Ports of Entry (fixed and mobile). Fees vary with type of vehicle. Every vehicle that transports agricultural products from the field to a place of storage (railroad siding, grain elevator etc.) must have a Colorado Public Utilities Commission Emergency Permit.
