Must have graduated from an ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law school.
Must pass the Colorado Bar exam.
Applicants for admission "on motion" (without taking the Colorado Bar Exam) must have “actively and substantially" engaged in the practice of law for five of the seven years immediately preceding application and be admitted in good standing to the bar of another state which allows reciprocal on-motion admission to members of the Colorado Bar.

NOTE:  Effective 1-1-93 the registration rules for prepaid legal services were repealed.
