The GFDL Modular Ocean Model (MOM)
  • MOM is a 3-dimensional, z-coordinate, primitive equation ocean circulation model.
  • Version 3.0.0 of MOM was developed in 1999-2000. It wa developed and supported by scientists inside and outside of GFDL. Presently, MOM4 is the focus of the GFDL model development team. MOM3 is no longer supported by GFDL scientists.
  • MOM 3.0.0 is freely available at ftp.gfdl.gov/pub/GFDL_MOM3. IMPORTANT: Please register with the MOM Bulletin Board when you grab a version of the code so that we know who you are.
