WISE

WISE logo.

Simulates the indoor climate (temperature and relative humidity) of a multizonal building. WISE (Wavo International Simulink Engineering tool) can be used in MatLab for:

  • the hourly evaluation of the indoor climate performance
  • the calculation of heating, cooling, (de-) humification amounts and capacities

WISE can be exported as an indoor climate model in SimuLink and be used for the evaluation of the integrated indoor climate and systems performance the design and evaluation of complex building systems and controllers. Screen Shots

Keywords

hygrothermal model, building simulation, MatLab/SimuLink Tool

Validation/Testing

BESTEST compatible, also validated with hygrothermal measurements. See reports on web page.

Expertise Required

Basic MatLab/SimuLink understanding. Some building physics background for input and output evaluation of the model.

Users

Over 250 people have downloaded the model from the Mathworks website; over 100 students have used it.

Audience

mechanical, energy, architectural & building physics engineers

Input

Building geometry, building constructions, materials, internal loads and schedules, heating and cooling capacities.

Output

For each zone: Temperature, Relative humidity, Heating/Cooling power, (De-)humidification amount.
