White House Tour Information

Call my Legislative Office at 225-8050 or email tai.brown@mail.house.gov several weeks in advance to request a White House Tour.  Fill out the white house tour_request_form and fax or e-mail the form to our office. Please read important guidelines below for White House Tours.
  • Congressional Tours may be scheduled through the office of a Member of Congress.  District of Columbia residents may request tours through Congresswoman Norton's office.  White House tour are offered on Tuesday through Saturday from 7:30am to 12:30pm, excluding holidays.

  • In order to place a request for a White House tour, all groups must have 10 or more people. For all groups smaller than 10, they'll be attached to larger groups. The White House accepts requests up to six months in advance, but at least 28 days in advance; and all tours are granted on a first come, first serve basis.

  • All are welcomed to visit the White House Visitors Center located in the Department of Commerce building at 15th and E Street, NW.  The Visitors Center is open seven days a week from 7:30 to 4:00pm.  For more information, you may contact the Visitors Office 24 hour hotline at (202) 456-7041.

  • These items are prohibited inside the White House: mace and pepper spray, aerosol containers and non-aerosol spray, oversized duffle bags, backpacks, suitcases, cans and bottles, knives of any size, razors and box cutters. The only permittable items include identification, keys, and cellphones.  Also, there are no storage facilities inside the White House for any extra materials.

*Between the Easter and Labor Day Holidays its very important to place tour requests several months in advance, because the White House's availability lessens during the summer months.*
