Comments: Kentucky Coffeetree (Vis. 1) is fairly adaptable
but has no special ornamental trait. The large, 8-inch seed
pods can be a litter problem depending on where the tree has
been planted. The brown bark may be the best ornamental
trait as it is quite rough. This tree is a good choice
where soils are alkaline.
