The Heart Truth Logo Guidelines:

The Heart Truth

Introduction to The Heart Truth Campaign
The Heart Truth is a national awareness campaign for women about heart disease sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), part of the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).

Designed to warn women of their #1 health threat, The Heart Truth created and introduced the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women.  The Red Dress reminds women of the need to protect their heart health and inspires them to take action.  The Red Dress is gaining momentum; 61 percent of U.S. adult women recognize the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness less than six years after its introduction by The Heart Truth.

Using The Heart Truth Logo
The Heart Truth logo is trademarked and owned by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).  To maintain the integrity of the campaign, use of The Heart Truth logo requires approval from NHLBI.  Additionally, the logo can only be used for materials and activities related to women's heart disease.

Approved partners may incorporate the campaign logo into a variety of materials (e.g., PSAs, advertisements, in-store displays, television commercials, packaging) to empower women to take action against their risks for heart disease. All materials are subject to review and must be approved by NHLBI.
