Do We Owe You?
The post office returns undeliverable refund checks to the department. We have been unable to reissue many of these checks because we can't locate a newer address. Please search our list to see if there is an unclaimed check in your name. If you find your name on the list, fill out and print an Unclaimed Check Request* form and mail it to us at the address given on the form. If we determine that you are owed a refund, we will correct your address in our records and send you your refund check.

If you didn't find your name on the above list, check the Department of State Land's website for refunds based on returns filed more than two years ago. A name may be listed more than once. This could be because several taxpayers have the same name. It could be that a taxpayer is due multiple refunds.

If you are claiming a refund for someone who is deceased, please print and fill out Form 243, Claim to Refund Due a Deceased Person.*

If you are acting as a representative for someone, please print and fill out a Tax Information Authorization and Power of Attorney for Representation.*

These forms must accompany the Unclaimed Check Request.*

Allow 30 to 90 days for a response.

If you would like to change your address and your name is not on the list, see the instructions about address changes.

*You must have Adobe Reader to download the forms to your computer.
