Employee news: Mourning the passing of President Ronald Reagan
Dear King County Employees,
We join with the rest of the nation in mourning the passing of President Ronald Reagan, and send our thoughts and prayers to his family. All county flags were immediately ordered to fly at half-staff in honor of the country's 40th president.
As you may know, President George W. Bush has declared that Friday, June 11, 2004 be a national day of mourning. He also announced that all federal offices will close and that Friday will be a holiday for federal workers. While we all will acknowledge this solemn event, all King County offices and operations will remain open for business on Friday, and it will be a regular work day for county employees.
Sincerely,
Ron Sims King County Executive Updated: June 9, 2004 Executive's e-mail By visiting this and other King County web pages, you expressly agree to be bound by terms and conditions of the site. The details. |
