How to Locate a DocID
DocIDs can be obtained by opening the ASCII text version of the document.
Within each ASCII file, GPO blows in header information. For example:
[Federal Register: February 11, 2004 (Volume 69, Number 28)]
[Notices]
[Page 6640-6641]
From the Federal Register Online via GPO Access [wais.access.gpo.gov]
[DOCID:fr11fe04-52]
The DocID is generally the last item in the header. Some examples include:
- [DOCID:fr11fe04-52]
- [DOCID: f:hjrnh98.wais]
- [DOCID: f:h1eas.txt]
To input the DocID into the form, copy the information following DOCID:
and input it into the appropriate box on the form.
