*Details of the Outage:

The Air Force Weather Agency will suspend most production capabilities
from 1645Z to 2300Z on 3 Sep 2008 to facilitate equipment upgrades. No
data will be routed to external agencies (e.g., OWSs, WFs, FNMOC, NOAA,
AFTAC, DTRA) and AFWA will be unable to ingest data from external
sources. METSAT data will not be updated nor disseminated. Space
weather products will not be created nor disseminated. Alphanumeric
data such as observations and forecasts will queue during the outage and
be ingested when systems are returned to service.
Following the outage, there will be a period of degraded operations to
repopulate AFWA databases.
