Message from the Ombudsman
Our office was created by the Oregon Legislature to be an independent advocate for Oregon´s injured workers. We are here to help you informally resolve any problems or disputes that might arise between the parties involved in your claim, and we can answer your questions about the workers´ compensation system. There is no charge for our services.

We cannot provide legal advice -- we are not lawyers -- and we do not represent you at Workers´ Compensation Board hearings; however, the members of my staff have years of experience dealing with workers´ compensation issues and claims, and they want to help you get the answers and assistance you need.

We are constantly looking for ways to reach Oregon´s injured workers. If you have questions, comments, or problems that the Ombudsman for Injured Workers can help with, please call the ombudsman at these numbers: (503) 378-3351, or (800) 927-1271, toll-free. You may send e-mail to oiw.questions@state.or.us.
