Annual Review of the Developmental Disabilities State Plan

CONTENT:
The Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 1990 (Section 122(b)(2)(C)) requires that the activities described in the State Plan be reviewed by the State Planning Council on an annual basis. In accordance with Section 1386.31(a) of the regulations, any proposed changes in the State Plan should be submitted to the appropriate Regional Office no later than August 15. If there are to be no major changes in the State Plan, please inform the Regional Office in writing.

In addition, Section 122(b)(2)(E) of the Act requires that each State "for each Fiscal Year, assess and describe the extent and scope of the Federal and State priority areas (as defined by Sections 102 (10), (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), and (16)) which are addressed or which will be addressed under the plan in the Fiscal Year." If you have not already done so, please submit this information, along with a projected budget, to the appropriate Regional Office.
