Donations to the General Fund
How to make an unconditional donation to the Oregon General Fund
The Oregon General Fund is a pool of resources used to support a wide range of state services.  These include K through 12 schools, higher education, state police, state prisons, food stamps and medical services for the needy.  These resources are allocated by the Governor and the Oregon Legislature.
Please follow these simple steps:
  1. All donations must be received to be used for all General Fund purposes.  Even though you may not designate the purpose of the contribution you send us, we are currently working on a link to provide information on how you can make a donation for a specific program.  All donations are deposited directly to the Oregon General Fund without regard to program or purpose.  Please indicate on the check that it is for the "Oregon General Fund."
  1. Donations must be made by bank draft, check, or money order payable to the State of Oregon and mailed to the below address.  (See example below.)  We do not have walk up cashier services available.   If your name and address are not on your check, please include this information with your donation.

  2. Mail your donation to:
    DAS, Office of Business Administration
    General Fund Donation, Attn: Cashier
    155 Cottage Street NE, U-90
    Salem, OR 97301-3972
