Custom
Cartography
Maps
are the most visible products of a GIS and are often the most effective
way to present GIS information. Our use of print- and Web-oriented design
and illustration tools complements and extends the capabilities of GIS
software, enabling us to create the highest quality maps and map-related
publications for our clients.
A
large subset of vector data files
from the King County GIS data library
is published four times per year on one convenient
DVD. Because of the broad range of data included
on the Standard Data Disk, often this is
the only KCIGS data source you will need.
If
your vector data needs go beyond
the KCGIS
Standard Data
Disk,
or if you
wish to obtain raster
data sets, such as aerial imagery or lidar
data, you may submit
a custom data request.
Training
is a must for those who wish to fully utilize the capabilities of a geographic
information system. We offer training opportunities to enhance and broaden
GIS skills, to keep those skills current with the latest technology and
software developments, and to improve a user's knowledge and application
of King County GIS data.
