Conservation Policy & Regulation
This suite of courses range from broad overviews of the policies and regulations implementing FWS core programs including Habitat Conservation (Federal Projects, Wetland Regulations, Mitigation Policy, Hydropower, Private Lands, Coastal Ecosystems), Environmental Contaminants, and Endangered Species to courses forcused specifically on key legislation such as the National Environmental Policy, Endangered Species Act, Marine Mammal Act, and Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Conservation Planning
These courses address the application of basic principles of conservation biology to the design and evaluations of conservation plans for FWS progrtams. Course instruction is focused on use and integration of scientific techniques such as population modeling and conservation genetics into FWS conservatons decision making.

Endangered Species Conservation
Beginning with the broad context of the entire endangered species program, these courses provide knowledge and skillls specific to subprograms such as listing, recovery planning and implementation, interagency consultation, and habitat conservation planning
.

Conservation Practitioners Skills Development
Courses include development of skills such as structured decision making, adaptive management, critical thinkin and writing, and working with stakeholders in conservation planning.

Conservation in Practice
These workshops provide practitioners with mentoring opportunities to practice skills on real-life FWS problems using "experiential" style learning techniques.

Conservation Science & Statistics

Animal Husbandry & Health
Courses contained here develop knowledge and skills in various aspects of successful animal propagation for recovery as well as disease detection and control.

Data Analysis, Modeling, and Monitoring
Curriculum courses strengthen science-based approaches to conservation by increasing capacities for designing projects, evaluating data quality and risks, and making sound conclusions from data.  Outcomes include population assessment, abundance targets, models for population-habitat relationships (for determining habitat suitability, limiting factors, population response, and habitat objectives), monitoring project design and analysis for estimating population size and change, and evaluation of conservation actions.

Ecology, Management, and Techniques
Including a wide range of disciplines, this suite of courses covers identification of selected plant and animal taxa, ecological concepts such as guild delineation, habitat and food relationships, bioenergetics, and landscape attributes, population assessment, management strategies, and techniques.

Environmental Quality
This curriculum emphasizes skill development for evaluation and assessment of abiotic, biotic, and/or economic damages, particularly in regards to pollution or chemical impairment, and techniques to reduce effects of pollution incidents.

Habitat Assessment & Restoration
This curriculum is dedicated to increasing capabilities in upland and freshwater habitat assessment (classification, quantity, quality, and distribution), restoration, and evaluation/monitoring.

Program Orientation and Operations
Introductions and overviews to FWS programs as well as safety training for a number of different job functions are the focus of this curriculum.
