  Biography of Administrator

DAVID A. LeDOUX
Administrator, Office of Regional Innovation and Transformation US Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration

David A. LeDoux was named as the Administrator for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) Office of Regional Innovation and Transformation in August 2008. In that role, he contributes to implementing a national workforce system that provides America's workers with the support they need to compete in a global economy.

Mr. LeDoux oversees ETA's regional offices, working collaboratively with the Regional Administrators and the national program offices to ensure an integrated workforce investment approach that promotes the critical role talent development plays in creating effective regional economic development strategies. Under the leadership of Mr. LeDoux and the six ETA Regional Administrators, ETA's regional offices promote collaboration beyond traditional strategies for worker preparation by bringing together state, local and federal entities; academic institutions; investment groups; foundations; and business to address the challenges associated with building a globally competitive and prepared workforce.

Prior to joining ETA, Mr. LeDoux served as the Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Management and Policy in DOL's Office of Inspector General (OIG), where he oversaw the formulation and implementation of policies impacting management, administration, and strategic planning for the OIG nationwide. Prior to joining the OIG, Mr. LeDoux served as the first Director of DOL's Office of Executive Resources and Personnel Security, where he performed the dual roles of centralizing the personnel servicing of DOL executives and political appointees, and modernizing and elevating the DOL-wide personnel security program.

Mr. LeDoux began his career at the Department of Labor in July of 1984 and has spent the past 24 years serving in increasingly more challenging leadership roles in both DOL and the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
