Ellenwood Facility Information
The Southeast Region is pleased to announce that we have completed the process of shifting agency records into a new Federal Records Center (FRC) located in Ellenwood, Georgia. This 350,000 square foot facility is fully compliant with all of NARA's Fiscal Year 2009 Facility Standards and it serves as the new home for federal records in the Southeast Region.
The facility's storage capacity is 1,740,600 cubic feet (boxes).
During a typical year, the facility:
- Receives 130,000 cubic feet of new records
- Transfers 1,000 cubic feet from records center to archival holdings
- Processes 780,000 requests for records
- Copies more than 450,000 pages of records for the public
Intrusion alarms, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and pest control help ensure that the records will be well protected. Lockers are available for the secure storage of personal belongings. A public telephone is available and there is ample free parking. The building is wheelchair accessible.
