WMO Manual 9 WEATHER REPORTING This is the reference publication on the facilities and service available in operation of the World Weather Watch. It is a multi-volume publication, loose-leafed, constantly kept up to date by a regular supplement service or new editions. Also available on tape.

WMO Manual 49 TECHNICAL REGULATIONS Volume I - General meteorological standards and recommended practices Basic Documents No. 2 This volume contains the regulations concerning the World Weather Watch; climatology; meteorological services for marine activities, agriculture and environmental pollution; meteorological bibliography and publications; education and training; units and procedures used in international meteorological research programs and during special observational periods. Volume II - Meteorological service for international air navigation Basic Documents No. 2 ISBN: 92-63-15049-4 These regulations, agreed upon with ICAO, cover the basic obligations for the provision of meteorological services to international air navigation. Volume III - Hydrology Basic Documents No. 2 ISBN: 92-63-14049-9 This volume contains definitions of technical terms, a classification of hydrological observing stations, and guidance on the establishment of networks of these stations, their identification, observing programs, equipment and methods of observation. It also contains a chapter on meteorological services for hydrology.
WMO Manual 306MANUAL ON CODES Volume I - International codes; Part A - Alphanumeric ISBN: 92-63-14306-4 VOLUME I - International codes; Part B - Binary codes ISBN: 92-63-14306-4 VOLUME II - Regional and national coding practices ISBN: 91-63-13306-9 Volume I contains WMO international codes for meteorological data and other geophysical data relating to meteorology, and constitutes Annex II to the WMO Technical Regulations. The relevant regulations are given for each code form. Volume II contains, for the six WMO Regions and the Antarctic, the procedures for the use of international code forms as well as regional code forms and national coding practices, including national code forms.
WMO Manual 386 MANUAL ON THE GLOBAL TELECOMMUNICATION SYSTEM Volume I - Global aspects Volume II - Regional aspects A manual intended: (a) to facilitate co-operation in respect of meteorological telecommunications between Members; (b) to specify obligations of Members in the implementation of the World Weather Watch Global Telecommunication System (GTS); (c) to ensure uniformity and standardization in the practices and procedures employed in achieving (a) and (b) above. Volume I constitutes Annex III to the Technical Regulations.
