Domestic & sexual violence program

If you need immediate assistance go to the Get Help page on this site.

Children, Adults and Families (CAF) contracts with community-based domestic violence and sexual assault programs for services to survivors of domestic violence and/or sexual assault.

The Domestic Violence Program is funded by a surcharge on marriage licenses, revenue from the Criminal Fine Assessment Account, and federal funding. CAF makes grants to 34 programs throughout Oregon who provide crisis lines, emergency shelter and related services to victims of domestic violence and their children . Please view the Guide to Domestic Violence Programs for a listing of programs.

The Sexual Assault funding through CAF began in May, 2000. CAF makes grants to 27 crisis lines and/or crisis centers for sexual assault services. Programs provide or arrange for crisis intervention, accompaniment to the hospital, information and referral, peer support and advocacy.

For more information on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Programs contact Bonnie Braeutigam at 503-945-6686. For information on funding, view the Guide for State Administered Funding (PDF) from the state of Oregon Department of Justice.
