Searching the Database
The F12 (search) key from the reference request function allows the requester to view the NARS-5 database and create electronic reference requests. Requesters are limited to the record group(s) used by their agency. Once the user has entered the NARS-5 database, the function keys described below allow the requester to scroll forward and backward through the database. The user is limited to scrolling forward through the file from the point of entry. This means that if the requester keys an FY 71 accession, scrolling to view FY 68 accessions, is prohibited.
