Reference Request Keystroke Functions

ENTER EDIT. This key transmits the reference request data to the mainframe. Processing continues by pressing the F2, F5, or F12 keys.
F1 HELP SCREEN. This key lists the use of each function key and display other keying instructions.
F2 RANGE REQUEST. This key reads the reference request screen and displays all NARS-5 accession records on file for the keyed accession number.
F3 CHANGE ADDRESS. This key allows the user to key a different address in the REFERENCE REQUESTS WILL BE SENT TO field.
F4 START AGAIN/RETURN. This key initializes the REFERENCE REQUEST SCREEN.
F5 DISLAY REQUEST. This key displays the desired request data that is keyed in the REFERENCE REQUEST SCREEN.
F9 TERMINATE SYSTEM. This key terminates processing and returns to the CICS APPLICATION MENU.
F11 HISTORY SEARCH. This key, if accessed from the REFERENCE REQUEST SCREEN, displays the history accession database beginning with the accession number keyed. If accessed from the ACCESSION RECORDS SCREEN, the search begins with the accession number most closely matching the record group and fiscal year of the accession selected.
F12 NARS-5 SYSTEM. This key displays NARS-5 records beginning with the accession keyed in the REFERENCE REQUEST SCREEN. If only a record group and fiscal year are keyed, the search begins with the accession number most closely matching the keyed data.

Create a Reference Request Record

ACCEPT Enter A to create a reference request record.
CANCEL Enter C and no reference request record will be created.
EDIT Enter E to change any of the reference request fields.
