June 19, 2007, Washington, DC – U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao today announced the awarding of up to $65 million to 13 regions that competed successfully to become the 3rd generation of the Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development’s (WIRED) Initiative.
