Cartoon characters from The Space Place, NASA's award-winning Web site for kids, present their own talk show from the Space Place Clubhouse. In this episode, their guest is LISA project scientist, Dr. Karsten Danzman, professor of physics at the University of Hanover, Germany. The goal of "Space Place Live!" is to introduce kids to the human, down-to-Earth side of real scientists and engineers working in the space program. Each guest is presented as a passionate and accomplished role model for every child interested in science or engineering. Kids will hear about how TV sparked Dr. Danzman's early interest in space science and how he looks forward, with the results of LISA, to "looking down the throat of the Big Bang."

This program was first broadcast on NASA TV Education File Schedule January 15, 2004.
