2.0 Site Status Summary

The Alan J. Blotcky Reactor Facility is a TRIGA Mark-1 research reactor which was operated at 20 kW thermal power, located within the Omaha Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Reactor operated from 1959 until November 5, 2001. All fuel has been removed from the site. Decommissioning plan submitted 9/21/04, and is currently under staff review.
