Ryan Mutter, Ph.D.

Ryan Mutter is an economist, project officer on grants and contracts, and researcher. His research has focused on issues related to cost, quality, and competition in the market for hospital services. He is currently examining issues related to hospital efficiency measurement and improvement.

Dr. Mutter has published in the Review of Industrial Organization and the International Journal of Health Care Finance and Economics. He received his Ph.D. in Public Policy with a concentration in health economics and his M.A. in economic policy analysis from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He received his B.A. in economics from the College of William and Mary.
