P. Hannah Davis, M.S., Public Policy and Management
P. Hannah Davis, M.S., is the user support manager for the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP). She maintains and expands the HCUP user base by disseminating information to current and potential stakeholders. She oversees technical support services, educational presentations, and production of products and software tools that make HCUP more useful and valuable to users.
Ms. Davis came from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), where she was Project Officer for the Area Resource File, a database which HCUP links to. At HRSA, she also worked on issues of health workforce adequacy, and was a staff liaison to the Council of Graduate Medical Education. She was involved in projects concerning the supply and distribution of physicians, the ability of the physician workforce to reach minority populations, the effects of the Balanced Budget Act on residency positions, and financing mechanisms for graduate medical education.
Ms. Davis previously worked at the National Center for Health Statistics and the Indian Health Service as a statistician. Her graduate degree is from Carnegie-Mellon University.
