Apportionment of the Reserve for Greenland Turbot in the Bering Sea Subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands

The 2008 initial total allowable catch (ITAC) specified for Greenland turbot in the Bering Sea subarea of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area (BSAI) has been supplemented by amounts of the reserve according to Robert C. Mecum, Acting Regional Administrator, Alaska Region, NMFS. This action is being taken in accordance with 50 CFR 679.20(b)(3).

The following table summarizes the apportionment in metric tons:

Fishermen are reminded that all actions and closures remain in full force and effect. This apportionment does not rescind or modify closures to directed fishing or actions prohibiting retention of a groundfish species.
