UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF LABOR
[Note: The DOT is available from a wide range of non-government sources on the Internet. The Department of Labor does not endorse, takes no responsibility for, and exercises no control over entities that have posted versions of the DOT, nor does it vouch for the accuracy of the information contained on those sites.]
The DOT was created by the Employment and Training Administration, and was last updated in 1991. It is included on the Office of Administrative Law Judges web site because it is a standard reference in several types of cases adjudicated by the Office of Administrative Law Judges, especially labor-related immigration cases. The DOT, however, has been replaced by the O*NET. For information on O*Net, see
Printed copies of the DOT may be purchased from the Government Printing Office/Superintendent of Documents' Online Bookstore (select the Sales Product Catalog, and search for "Dictionary of Occupational Titles").
