NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BILLINGS MT

A COLD FRONT WHICH DROPPED OUT OF CANADA ON SATURDAY USHERED
UNSEASONABLY COLD AIR INTO THE AREA FOR TODAY...AS WELL AS A
FAIRLY WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL. THE TEMPERATURE AT THE BILLINGS
AIRPORT DROPPED TO 21 DEGREES SUNDAY AFTERNOON...WHICH IS THE
COLDEST IT HAS BEEN THIS LATE IN THE SEASON SINCE APRIL 20TH 1994
WHEN THE TEMPERATURE FELL TO 20 DEGREES. IF THE TEMPERATURE DROPS
INTO THE TEENS TONIGHT IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME SINCE 1967 THIS
HAS HAPPENED SO LATE IN THE YEAR. THE LAST TIME A TEMPERATURE IN
THE TEENS WAS OBSERVED AT THE BILLINGS AIRPORT ON OR AFTER APRIL
20TH WAS ON APRIL 22ND 1967.
