Applying for Assistance

Rivers & Trails staff assistance includes help in building partnerships to achieve community-set goals, assessing resources, developing concept plans, engaging public participation, and identifying potential sources of funding.  Although Rivers & Trails does not provide financial assistance, we do offer technical assistance to community partners to help them achieve their goals. Project partners may be non-profit organizations, community groups, Native Organizations or tribal governments, and local, state, and federal government agencies. Assistance is typically provided for one to three years.

How to Apply for Assistance
We recommend that you contact Alaska Region RTCA staff to discuss your interest and seek guidance before applying.  Application forms for assistance are competitively evaluated.  Application guidelines, including project evaluation criteria are available through this link
.  Applications are due every August 1st, but short-term consultations are available throughout the year.

NOTE!

All Alaska applications go to Lisa Holzapfel at: Lisa_Holzapfel@nps.gov
