Using
FoilSim to Measure Your Elevation
Subject Area: Physics, Physical Science Grade Level: 9-12 National Science Standards:
National Technology Standards:
Objective: After designing model wings, you will demonstrate an understanding of wing design by testing models of the wing types both experimentally and by computer modeling in FoilSim and then presenting your results. Assessment: You, or you and your partner(s), will be evaluated by the thoroughness of your report. Evaluation: You will use the World Wide Web to find information on different wing designs and to design wing models and then test them both experimentally and by computer modeling in FoilSim. Your findings will be summarized in a report. Submitted by: Chip Limes, Shawnee High School, Springfield, Ohio
