Biosketch:
Gitanjali Saluja, Ph.D., joined DESPR in 1991, as a postdoctoral fellow and became a research fellow in the Epidemiology Branch in 2004. She earned both her master's degree and her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Much of her research focuses on the epidemiology and prevention of child and adolescent injuries, particularly drowning. She is also interested in developmental disabilities, mental health, and parent and child behaviors as they relate to health and injury
