In-Home Supportive Services Monthly Reports
In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) is a state-administered, county-run program whose purpose is to provide supportive services to the eligible aged, blind, and disabled persons who are unable to perform certain services for themselves and who could not remain safely in their own homes without these services.

IHSS consists of two components: the Personal Care Services Program (PCSP) and the Residual Program. PCSP is funded by state, county and federal funds. Services provided under PCSP include assistance with self-administration of medications, bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, and dressing. The Residual Program is funded by state and county funds only. Services provided under the Residual Program include domestic services, such as cleaning, shopping, laundry, and meal preparation, non-medical personal care services, such as those described above, and protective supervision. Recipients in the Residual Program are ineligible for PCSP because they have parent providers if the recipient is a minor, or have their spouse as the provider, receive protective supervision, or are on advance pay.

This monthly report includes statewide and county data on the number of IHSS recipients and the number of PCSP and Residual cases. It also includes the monthly total paid hours and service cost expenditures for each of the components. Administrative costs are not included.

Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) Program Monthly Report
The Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) Program is a federal/state funded cash aid program administered by the Social Security Administration in local social services offices throughout the state. California supplements the Federal SSI grant with its own SSP payment. The program provides a monthly cash grant to California residents who are age 65 or over or blind or disabled and meet income and resource requirements based on eligibility, living arrangement, and marital status. This monthly report includes statewide and county data on the number of aged, blind, disabled, and total recipients of SSI/SSP. It also includes monthly total SSI payments, SSP payments and average monthly payments for each of the above categories.
