Our ability to leverage the power of information will be key to our success in the 21st
Century. My first and foremost commitment is to lead the effort that will deliver the
critical enabling capability required by the National Military Strategy to conduct
Net-Centric Operations:
"We will conduct Net-Centric Operations with compatible information and communications
systems, usable data, and flexible operational constructs."
To do this, we must ensure that information is available where it's needed, when it's needed,
and to those who need it. We must reach the individual who is at the tactical edge
of our operations - regardless of time or location.
