Office of the Secretary
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY DIRECTIVE
2002-02
To:
Bureau Equal Opportunity
Officers
From: Director, Office for Equal Opportunity
Subject: Schedule
for Regular and Recurring Reports
Each year we are required to
submit a number of different reports on our Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights
Programs to various agencies; i.e., Equal Employment Opportunity Commission,
Department of Justice, Office of Personnel Management, Health and Human
Services, etc. The reports are usually
due on the same dates each year. The
requesting agencies do not submit a formal request for the reports on scheduled
dates; therefore, frequently there is a short turnaround time from the date of
their request to the due date. Since we
know that the reports will be required on specific dates, Bureaus should
proceed with completing their reports according to the attached schedule. OEO will no longer send reminders regarding
the due dates for these reports.
With the new reporting
required by the “No Fear Act” and EEOC’s recently
issued MD 715, which supersedes MDs 712, 713, and 714, we have revised the
schedule that establishes the dates the Office for Equal Opportunity expects to
receive each report. When new guidance
and/or formats are received for either the No Fear Act or MD 715, we will
transmit them to you immediately.
Please share this information
with those on your staff responsible for preparing the reports identified in
the attachment. To be in compliance, it
is important that the Department submit these required reports to the
responsible regulatory agencies in a timely manner. Therefore, it is imperative that Bureaus
submit each report on the designated due dates.
In addition, there are a few internal reports that are required on a regular
basis. Those are identified on this list
as well. Your cooperation in meeting all
the due dates is appreciated.
This Directive revises and
rescinds EOD 2002-01 and EOD 2002-18 regarding the schedule for regular and
recurring reports.
