SUBJECT:       Updated Department of the Interior Procedures on Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities

In reference to EOD 2004-16 issued on June 3, 2004, the procedures on Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities have been updated to 1) change the name “Office for Equal Opportunity” to “Office of Civil Rights” and 2) provide current telephone numbers and websites in Appendix IV, Selected Reasonable Accommodation Resources.  No procedural changes were made.  Attached is a copy of the updated procedures.  Please ensure that the previously issued procedures are discarded and replaced with the attached. 

The procedures on Reasonable Accommodation for Individuals with Disabilities are being coordinated through the Office of Planning and Performance for inclusion in the Departmental Manual and signature of the Assistant Secretary for Policy, Management and Budget.
