Industries with the most new jobs, 2006-16

The detailed industry with the largest projected wage and salary employment growth from 2006 to 2016 is management, scientific, and technical consulting services. This industry is expected to add about 718,000 new jobs.

All ten detailed industries with the largest projected wage and salary employment growth are in the service-providing sector. These ten industries are shown in the chart.

Three of the detailed industries are in the professional and business services sector, three are in the health care sector, and two are education industries.
