Highest and lowest paying occupational groups, 2007

Management was the highest paying occupational group in 2007, with a mean hourly wage of $46.22, followed by legal occupations at $42.53.

Food preparation and serving related occupations ($9.35 per hour); farming, fishing, and forestry occupations ($10.89 per hour); and building and grounds cleaning and maintenance occupations ($11.33 per hour) were among the lowest paying occupational groups.
