The March rate was unchanged from February. However, the job openings rate has generally trended upward since September 2003.

In March 2005, the job openings rate changed significantly only for the government sector, where the rate fell slightly.

The job openings rate did not change significantly in any geographical region in March.

These data come from the Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. For more information, see Job Openings and Labor Turnover: March 2005 (PDF) (TXT) , news release USDL 05-833. The job openings rate is the number of job openings divided by the sum of employment and job openings, multiplied by 100.
