Computer use by home workers

Among persons who reported working at home at least once per week in 2001, nearly 80 percent used a computer as part of their work at home.

Just over 60 percent of all persons who usually worked at home made use of the Internet or e-mail to do their work. Fewer than half used (about 40 percent) used fax.

Close to 80 percent of home workers used a telephone for the work they did at home.
