Cert Description
This is new program for Marion County. Initial work/trainings were done in cooperation with two other nearby counties to provide two CERT Train the Trainers (TtT) classes for local emergency workers. Objective for TtT was to establish a cadre of CERT trainers to work across tri-county area to provide CERT classes for local citizens. By having our own CERT trainers we are more self sufficient and therefore the program is more sustainable. County citizens will be trained in CERT this year. Having locally trained citizens will help to fill in gaps in this rural area and support the limited numbers of emergency workers.
