| Cert Description |
| The Saline County LEPC has been teaching CERT to students at Salina South High since the spring of 2005. We have created two response teams (12 students each)in the school and they are trained and equipped to respond to emergencies in the school. They also are available to assist in the response to events occuring anywhere in Saline County or Statewide. We teach a Basic CERT course as an elective class in the fall and offer advanced training each spring. The response teams have also participated in training exercises with Saline County's First Response agencies (fire, law enforcement, ems, etc) to enhance their skills. |
