For
more than 30 years, the Missoula Technology and Development
Center has provided safer and more efficient equipment, techniques,
and materials for Forest Service Reforestation and Nurseries
Programs. The Center evaluates existing technology and equipment
or develops new technology and equipment. These projects
are funded by the Washington Office Forest Management Staff
and through State and Private Forestry.
MTDC's program of work in Reforestation and Nurseries is
selected by the National Forest Regeneration Committee. The
Committee is comprised of representatives from various levels
of the Forest Service who review project proposals once a
year.
