MISSION To place Emergency Response Technicians (ERT) with effective first-response capability throughout the community where they are able to help themselves, their family and their neighbors in the event of a catastrophic disaster. STRATEGY To educate and train the ERT in disaster preparedness, fire safety, disaster medical operations, light search and rescue, organization, disaster psychology and terrorism. TACTIC Teach the ERT the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Community Emergency Response Team curriculum.
