The devastation of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the horror of terrorist attacks and potential pandemics underscore the need for each of us to be prepared to deal with emergencies, wherever they find us. Are you ready to help when crisis comes? If you are interested in receiving training that will serve you and others both at work and at home, consider the following opportunity. The Town of Union CERT Training Program is a community outreach program intended to provide fundamental Disaster Preparedness skills to area residents, at no cost to them. The class will prepare those who attend to help save and sustain lives following a disaster while they wait for help to arrive. The skills taught also apply to everyday emergencies. All the instructors are highly-qualified first responders from area Emergency Squads, Fire Departments, and Law Enforcement Agencies.
