| Our program follows all procedures set by FEMA; New York SEMO and NYC OEM CERT training guidelines. Our goals are to train citizens in our community to be prepared in the event of a disaster through CERT and Ready New York training. Oor team is also trained in assisting NYCOEM and ARC at the Evacuation Centers in our community. Our overall objective is to lessen the burden on First Responders in the event of a major disaster by having as many citizens already prepared to help themselves without overburdening the Emergency Response System.
Training for our team is weekly ar rwo training sites within our area of responsiblity. By ensuring constant team member participation will greatly enhance the teams response and knowledge in the event of an actual disaster. |
