The purpose of this website is to promote information sharing and collaboration among public health scientists and practitioners conducting nutrition-related research and teaching at UCLA. By utilizing a web-based forum, this information also becomes available to the public, interested colleagues and prospective students. While this site does not contain a comprehensive listing of all nutrition-related academic activities at UCLA, it does serve to promote nutrition and public health activities, in particular as they relate to maternal and child nutrition issues. Through linkages with other websites, the network of nutritionists at UCLA and our visitors can access information about people, programs and activities from this one location.

Information on this website was contributed by a group of faculty, students, research associates and graduates at UCLA. Website development and maintenance is being sponsored by the MCH Public Health Nutrition Leadership Training Project (MC# 00013-11) funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, Division of Research and Training. The Project Director is Dr. Marion Taylor Baer, Dept. of Community Health Sciences, UCLA (mtbaer@ucla.edu). For more information about this project, and our university partners with MCHB-sponsored projects in maternal and child health and nutrition, see www.nutrition.mchtraining.net.
